Your Question– “The burner on my gas water heater will not stay lit. I changed the thermocouple and the pilot flame remains on as normal, but whenever the burner ignites, it will burn consistently for about 1-2 minutes and then begin hesitating and eventually blows itself and the pilot flame out. I re-light the pilot and eventually the burner will burn normally for about two-three days and then goes out again.”
Our Answer– In our opinion, if the gas water heater is old you should change it. However, if the gas water heater is not old then have the manufacturer send you a new gas valve.
