Faucet

Question– “I live in a renovated old Townhouse. The basement bathroom faucet occasionally and unexpectedly turns itself on by itself – we have had to turn off the supply using the stops. I have tried replacing the cartridges to no avail. The antique-style one doesn’t appear to be stamped with a make. Is the problem with the faucet, or with the system (I don’t want to install a new one just to have it do the same thing again). Your help is greatly appreciated!”

Answer In our opinion, we would replace the faucet. It is the next logical step in determining what is going wrong.
